Rainbow's End Day Camp

July 18, 2016

We believe that it is every child's right to grow and live in a world that welcomes him or her. Our goal is to provide safe activities that will be fun, will encourage creativity, and will enhance self-confidence.

Rainbow's End is a one-week day camp for children with special needs. Two camps are offered in July from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday; and 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Enrollment is limited and is offered to children between the ages of 5 - 21 years.

Due to the active nature of the programing, children need to be able to meet certain physical criteria. Campers will be accepted on a case-by-case basis as evaluated by the camp directors and camp nurse. Some of the activities include swimming, fishing, arts and crafts, and music.

The cost for the camp is $75 and includes limited transportation, a camp t-shirt, snacks, and activities. Each camper will be asked to bring a lunch for Monday - Thursday. Financial assistance is available for those with need.

Many opportunities exist to offer your gifts as a volunteer or to help underwrite the cost of providing the camp. Costs are kept to a minimum to help ensure the ability to participate for all those who would benefit from this experience.

For questions and to receive a camper application, please call camp co-director, Renee Brodhagen at 715-847-2000, ext. 53488. To find out more about volunteering, call the Aspirus Volunteers office at 715-847-2848 or complete the online application.
